Hey all, I'm brand new to Linux (literally the only thing I know is basic UNIX commands for navigating directories/copying files) and I am trying to get Adobe Flash Player installed for FireFox on my CentOS 5.3/KDE desktop system I just set up. After some googling, I typed the command 'yum install firefox' and it magically downloaded and installed FireFox. I understand that YUM is the package manager but I don't really get the whole online repository thing. I guess my stock install of CentOS 5.3 has some default repository locations already configured and so it just knows which ones have FireFox? If someone could comment on this or point me towards an article/post that will explain it so I have a better understanding, I would appreciate it very much.
