When launching game this happens: 1: The 2 knight window opens, closes, then a smaller window of the knights opens, takes a long time to close. 2: then, Ubisoft music plays, when finished, the black window appears, with the chessclocks as the cursor; then very quickly the small window appears: ERROR can not initalize 3D engine. I click either OK or red X, both windows closes, and nothing else happens. Usually, the regular starting window opens, where you pick PLAY, INSTALL, etc.
However, since the 3D notice, this window never opens. HELP, HELP!!! By the way, can I buy a new game, 10th edition, or 11th edition somewhere?? Or will I still have the same problem??? It sounds like you still don't have the correct version of DirectX installed.
